Fear and sorrow don’t always present themselves in shades of red and gray. Sometimes they wear the colors of Spring. Sometimes they are buried in the images of childhood, adolescence, and simple domesticity. Through my art I have been able to sit with this fact. It is part of the process of living. And it is a shared process.

Most of my works have been charged with automatic writing, the liberal use of pencil and pastel, the application of acrylics, watercolor and gesso. Messing with scale is just another attempt at control.
